Activities
Mr. Cox
has a long and distinguished career as a high-tech
industry executive, including a year as vice
president of worldwide sales and service with
Entropia Inc. and a successful 12-year history with
HP.
At HP, Mr. Cox last served as vice president and
general manager of North American sales for the
company's Business Customer Organization. In
this position, Mr. Cox held full responsibility for
all of the organization's enterprise and commercial
computing sales, marketing and support services in
North America.
Mr. Cox began his tenure with HP in 1989 as an area
manager for workstation sales. He participated
in the creation of HP's industry-focused sales
organizations in 1992 and, in 1994, he assisted in
the development of a services sales force for HP in
the Americas. By 1998, Mr. Cox had been
promoted six times and held the dual title of
customer service and support Americas general
manager and vice president for HP where he was
responsible for all HP hardware and software support
services, as well as for multivendor computation
products, systems, and networks.
Mr. Cox came to HP in 1989 when the company acquired
Apollo Computer where he had worked since 1985 as
the Midwest regional sales manager. Between
1982 and 1985, he served as a regional sales manager
for Applicon Inc., and from 1976 to 1982, he held
various sales and sales management positions with
Digital Equipment Corp. |
