Activities
Patricia J. Daugherty is the Siegfried Professor in
Marketing and is serving as the Director of the
Division of Marketing at the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to entering academe, Dr. Daugherty worked as a
buyer for A&P's National Produce Division. She
has consulted with a number of firms including
Baxter Healthcare, Digital Equipment Corporation,
The Gillette Company, Nabsico Foods, Owens-Corning
Fiberglas, Ralston Purina Company, and United Parcel
Service.
Dr. Daugherty's primary research interests include
logistical trends, customer service/satisfaction,
and strategic alliances. She has published in
a number of academic journals including
International Journal of Logistics Management,
International Journal of Physical Distribution
and Logistics Management, Journal of Business
Logistics, Journal of Marketing Research,
Journal of Promotion Management, and The
Logistics and Transportation Review and has
co-authored two books, Leading Edge Logistics:
Competitive Positioning for the 1990s and
Logistical Excellence: It's Not Business as
Ususal.
Dr. Daugherty is a member of the Academy of
Marketing Science, American Marketing Association,
Council of Logistics Management, and the Southern
Marketing Association.
