Professional Activities at DuPont
William Galloway spent 33 years with the DuPont Company, the world’s largest chemical company, in a variety of manufacturing, engineering, marketing and senior management positions in the United States, Europe, and Southwest Asia.  In his years with DuPont, he advanced from shift foreman in a nylon manufacturing plant to Senior Vice President.  Mr. Galloway was Works Director of DuPont’s man-made textile fibers plants in Germany and served as Managing Director and Director of Operations of a joint venture company in Iran which employed 15,000 people.  In the early 1970s, when international concerns developed about possible relationships between chemical exposures and human health, he was named Director of Environmental Affairs with worldwide responsibilities.

Since Mr. Galloway’s retirement from DuPont, he has founded and led several technology-based companies.  He was also founder of CIIT Centers for Health Research and has served as chairman of the chemical industry trade association.
