Thome
was named senior vice president,
Financial Operations, in 1993.
Previously, he was vice president and
director of General Mills' Information
Systems organization.
Thome joined General Mills in 1969 as an
auditor. After serving two years in the
U.S. Army, he resumed his career and
held several auditing, accounting, and
analysis positions. He was named vice
president and controller for General
Mills' international group in 1985 and
vice president of Information Systems in
1991.
