About Donald Wolfe
Don Wolfe is the partner in charge of Deloitte &
Touche’s financial services industry audit practice in Los Angeles. Since
1990, he has led a large group of partners and staff in service to clients
in the banking, investment management, insurance, finance, and securities
industry segments throughout the Pacific Southwest region. Previously he
spent over two years as a manager in Deloitte’s national office in New
York. While there, Don authored Deloitte’s international audit approach
manual and was the architect of many of the firm’s widely-used audit tools.
Before moving to New York, Don served seven years in Deloitte’s Des Moines
office, and in that period completed his creative writing thesis and
obtained an M.A. in English from ISU. Don is the author of five published
articles on topics including accounting, corporate governance, and personal
investing, and continues to write creatively and on technical subjects.
He is past president of the Jonathan Fly Fishing Club in Los Angeles,
president-elect of the Pasadena Casting Club, and a member of Trout
Unlimited, American Rivers, the Nature Conservancy, and several other
conservation organizations. He also has a strong interest in theatre, and
is an active member of the Corporate Circle of the Center Theatre Group,
which operates the Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, and Kirk Douglas
Theatre in Los Angeles. Don has served on the boards of several charitable
organizations through the years, is past president of the Los Angeles
Chapter of the Financial Managers Society, and is in the Alexis de
Tocqueville Society of the United Way.
He is a member of the Iowa State University Order of the Knoll. |
