Professional Activities
Beth Ford is the Senior Vice President of Scholastic’s Global Operations and Information Technology, a division of Scholastic Inc., the largest publisher and distributor of children’s books in the world.  She is responsible for the company’s global IT, manufacturing, distribution, engineering, order processing, fulfillment, customer service, digital asset management, purchasing, inventory and for all related supply chain management. 

Before joining Scholastic in August of 2000, Ms. Ford worked as the Senior Supply Chain Logistics Executive at the Pepsi Bottling Group, which was spun off from Pepsico.  At Pepsi Bottling Group, she was responsible for supply chain strategy development, North American fleet and transport operations, and the development of integrated planning and inventory management capabilities.  Prior to her employment at Pepsico, Ms. Ford worked at the Peresco Company in Chicago where she directed North American promotional supply chain activities for McDonald’s Restaurants.  For nine years she was at Mobil Corporation, where she managed distribution facilities, became manager of export orders, directed crude oil supply from West Africa and operated in forecasting and materials management.
