Activities
Ike Harris is the President, Advertising &
Publishing Group for BellSouth Enterprises in
Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, he was
President-BellSouth Enterprises, with responsibility
for corporation’s European and Latin American
operations, and BellSouth’s Advertising and
Publishing Company. He is also co-chairman of
BellSouth’s Diversity Council. In January 2005, he
was named to Black Enterprise magazine's list
of the 75 Most Powerful African Americans in
Corporate America.
Prior to the BellSouth Enterprises role, Mr. Harris
served three years as President of BellSouth
Consumer Services, with responsibility for the
strategic marketing, sales and customer service
direction of BellSouth’s largest customer unit. Mr.
Harris joined BellSouth in 1997 as BellSouth
Telecommunication’s Chief Financial Officer, and
assumed the role of Corporate VP of Finance prior to
moving to Consumer Services.
Mr. Harris previously held the position of Vice
President and Corporate Controller of SUPERVALU,
INC., a Minneapolis, Minnesota based food wholesaler
and retailer with $17 billion in revenues. Mr.
Harris joined SUPERVALU in 1987 after a
thirteen-year career with KPMG Peat Marwick, a
national and international accounting and consulting
firm, where he provided accounting and consulting
services to entities operating in manufacturing,
wholesaling, retailing, and hospitality. Prior to
that, Mr. Harris spent eight years as a professional
football player with the then St. Louis Cardinals
and the New Orleans Saints.

Activities
Mr. Harris’ current professional
affiliations include board membership at
International Multifoods, Inc., Atlanta Life
Financial Group and the Iowa State University
Foundation Board of Governors. Mr. Harris currently
serves the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta as a
member of the Finance Committee and serves on the
Board of Directors for the Henry W. Grady
Foundation. He is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well
as the Minnesota Society of CPAs.
Iowa State University
Mr. Harris has served on the ISU Foundation Board of
Governors for 16 years and is a member of the ISU
Alumni Association. Ike was named Cy’s favorite
alum in 1991.
