Academic History B.S. Industrial Administration, Iowa State University - 1952 Professional Activities Richard Pecaut is currently Chairman of the Board of Pecaut and Company, a Sioux City, Iowa stock brokerage firm he co-founded in 1960. Dick was a 40-year member of the Chicago Stock Exchange as well as being named by Money Magazine as one of its top ten all-pro stockbrokers in 1988. Community Activities Dick is very active in his community and served as President of Goodwill Industries, Boys & Girls Home, Sioux City Concert Course, and the Sertoma Club. He has also served on Boards including the Episcopal Corporation of Iowa, the Sioux City Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Securities Dealers, and the Securities Industry Association. Iowa State University Dick is currently a member of the Iowa State University Foundation Board of Governors, is a member of the Order of the Knoll, and previously served as a member of the board of trustees for the Iowa State University Achievement Fund. Dick has served as a member of the College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council since 1988. He is the national adviser to the student-run investment management fund for the Finance department in the College. Awards In 1995, he received the Citation of Achievement award from Iowa State University College of Business. In 2003, he received the John DeVries Service award from the College of Business. |
