Craig
A. Petermeier began his career in 1983 as a controller with The Jacobson Companies
at a time when its
annual revenues were approximately $1.5 million with
25 employees. Today revenues are in excess of $230
million with over 3,000 employees in 40 locations
throughout the United States. The Jacobson
Companies today include seven divisions: Jacobson
Warehouse, Jacobson Transportation, Jacobson Packaging, Jacobson Logistics, Jacobson Investment,
Jacobson Staffing, and Jacobson Distribution.
Professional
Activities
In addition to his duties on The Jacobson Companies
boards and its
divisions, Craig is the president of the Mid-America
CropLife Association. He has also served or is a board member of Central
State Bank of State Center, Iowa, East Des Moines
Chamber of Commerce, Youth Homes of Mid America, Kidville
Daycare, and Midwest Crop Protection Association.
Craig is a member of the Warehousing
Education Research Council, Council of Logistics
Management and the American and Iowa Certified
Public Accountants.
Craig serves
as president of the College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council, as well as
the university’s Order of Knoll and the ISU Coaches Circle. He has been
active in his community through his involvement with the Variety Club of
Iowa and the American Quarter Horse Association, Good Guys Rod & Custom Car
Association.
Personal Interests
Craig and his wife Virginia
have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys raising quarter horses at
his family’s home in Mingo, Iowa and spending time at his street rod car
shop in Baxter. The family also enjoys spending time at the Lake of the
Ozarks. |
