Amos O. Hughes Team Room - Amos
O. Hughes (1899-1995) was a native of Iowa and spent his
youth in Strawberry Point. In 1917, he joined the U.S. Army
and served in the 7th Infantry 3rd Division and saw military
action in the Aisne Marne, Meuse Argonne, and St. Michael
offensive. In 1919, he returned to Iowa State University
with his brother Andy to pursue an academic degree. Amos
and his brother were active members of Theta Chi
fraternity. Amos graduated in 1924 with a degree in
Electrical Engineering. He resided in Albuquerque, New
Mexico where he met his wife Edna and enjoyed a career in
electrical engineering and performed the duties of commander
of the American Legion Post #13.

Bill and Elizabeth Goodwin
Team Room - Bill and Elizabeth Goodwin are
strong supporters of education and Iowa State University. Bill is a 1959 graduate of ISU with a degree in Industrial
Engineering. He also received his MBA in 1965 from Stanford
University. Elizabeth began her college career at Iowa
State in agriculture and graduated from Colorado College,
Colorado Springs in Education and added post-graduate study
in curriculum development at Drake University, Des Moines. Bill is President of the Cerro Gordo Land Co. and Elizabeth
is an advocate and lobbyist on educational issues in Iowa. Bill serves on the College of Business Dean's Advisory
Council and is an ISU Foundation Governor. Elizabeth and
Bill are members of the ISU Foundation Order of the Knoll. The couple lives in Des Moines.

Graduate Programs Office
Dr. Handy is the college's Founding Dean and impacted the
lives of many students he taught during his tenure at Iowa
State. He was also instrumental in the creation of the
College of Business' MBA program. Several of his former
students contributed to the naming of the graduate programs
office in his honor, including Bill (77 MS Industrial
Administrative Sciences, 73 Industrial Administration) and
Raedene Kalm, Al (70 Industrial Administration) and Sue
Landon, Steve (69 Industrial Administration) and Phyliss
(69 Sociology) Dapper, Scott (79 Industrial
Administration) and Julia Johnson, Lynn (60 Industrial

Career Services Center - David and Ellen Raisbeck
are both Iowa State graduates and strong supporters of
the University. David graduated in 1971 with a degree in
Industrial Administration and Ellen graduated in 1971 with a
degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. David is Vice
Chairman of Cargill Inc. based in Minneapolis. He serves on
the College of Business Dean's Advisory Council and is an
ISU Foundation Governor. Ellen and David are members of the
ISU Foundation Order of the Knoll and the couple lives in
Shorewood, Minnesota.

Daniel and Sharon Krieger
Boardroom - Daniel and Sharon Krieger are very
active at Iowa State and generous with their time and
gifts. Dan graduated from ISU in 1959 with a degree in
Industrial Administration. Sharon has a nursing degree from
Iowa Lutheran School of Nursing and Grandview College, Des
Moines. Dan is President and Chairman of Ames National
Corporation, an Iowa multi-bank holding company with five
affiliates. He is past Board Member, President, and medal
recipient of the ISU Alumni Association and is currently an
ISU Foundation Governor. Sharon and Dan are members of the
ISU Foundation Order of the Knoll and Dan is a member of the
College of Business Dean's Advisory Council. The couple
lives in Ames.

Droste Den - Edward C. Droste graduated as
President of his 1973 ISU class with a degree in Industrial
Administration and Political Science. He was a TKE at ISU
and was named National Top TKE Alumnus of the Year in 1991.
Ed is CEO and founder of Provident Management Corporation,
Provident Advertising and Marketing, Provident
Merchandising, and Provident Creative, all companies based
in Clearwater, Fl. He is co-founder of numerous restaurant
concepts including Hooters Restaurants, Adobe Gila's, Pete &
Shorty's and Splitsville. Ed is a member of the ISU
Foundation Order of the Knoll, along with his father and
mother, Ed and Phyl Droste, who proudly boast an all − ISU
family with graduates Linda and Sally, as well as Lindas
son, Ryan Chamberlain.

Bob
McLaughlin provided this gift in the name of Eugene and
Lillian McLaughlin. He has been a partner of Steptoe and
Johnson LLP, an international law firm headquartered in
Washington, D.C. since 1972. Bob grew up on a farm near
Belmond, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in
1960 with a degree in Industrial Administration. Bob worked
as a Financial Analyst at the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) from 1961-1967 while attending Georgetown
University's Law School receiving his J.D. in 1965
graduating in the top ten percent of his class. Bob is
married to Judith Gildea McLaughlin, a professional travel
consultant, for 37 years and they have three grown children,
Colin, Shane, and Moira. Bob serves on the College of
Business Dean's Advisory Council and is an ISU Foundation
Governor. Bob and Judith are members of the ISU Foundation
Order of the Knoll and the couple lives in Arlington,

Gary and Margaret Pint Classroom Gary and Margaret Pint
both grew up in Decorah, Iowa. High school sweethearts,
they graduated from Decorah High in 1954. Gary is a 1958 ISU
graduate with a degree in Industrial Administration and
Margaret received her degree from Luther College in
Decorah. Married in 1958, Gary completed active duty with
the U.S. Army Artillery in Ft. Sill, Okalahoma. They moved
to St. Paul, Minnesota where Gary began a 35 year career
with 3M and retired with them as Group Vice President of
Telecom Systems. Gary serves on the College of Business
Dean's Advisory Council. Margaret and Gary are members of
the ISU Foundation Order of the Knoll. The couple lives in
Naples, Florida.

Gary and Susan Streit Help
Room - Gary and Susan Streit are both Iowa State
graduates and remain active with the University. Gary
graduated in 1972 with a degree in Industrial Administration
and Accounting. He also received his JD in 1975 from the
University of Iowa. Susan graduated in 1972 with a degree
in Advertising Design. She had a very successful career in
Cedar Rapids, becoming at that time, the first woman art
director at a major advertising agency in Cedar Rapids--CMF&Z,
which was later acquired by Young & Rubicam and Susan is
currently an artist. Gary is President of Shuttleworth &
Ingersoll, P.L.C., a law firm based in Cedar Rapids. Gary
serves on the College of Business Dean's Advisory Council. Susan and Gary are members of the ISU Foundation Order of
the Knoll and they live in Cedar Rapids.

Marcia Pike Schaller are Iowa State graduates
and longtime supporters of the University. George graduated
in 1962 with a degree in Agricultural Business and Marcia
graduated in 1963 with a degree in Family and Consumer
Sciences. George is President of Citizens First National
Bank in Storm Lake. George serves on the College of
Business Dean's Advisory Council and he is an ISU Foundation

- Kelley and Joan Bergstrom are active supporters in
many areas of Iowa State. Kelley is a 1965 graduate of ISU
with a degree in Industrial Administration. He also
received his MBA in 1968 from the University of Florida. Joan is a 1967 graduate of the University of Illinois at
Chicago. Kelley is President of Bergstrom Investment
Management, LLC, a company focused on real estate and
private equity investing. Kelley is Chair of the ISU

president of Skinner Agri-Products Inc. in Des Moines Iowa. Ned is a 1974 graduate of Iowa State with a degree in
Industrial Administration and an MBA from the Harvard
Graduate School of Business Administration in 1981. He
is also serving as president of Wildwood Harvest Foods,
Inc., a premier producer of organic products, in Grinnell,
Iowa and Watsonville, California. Ned was president of
Tone Brothers, Inc. Burns Philp's North American herb and
spice business and led their restructuring efforts. Ned is active on the Dean's Advisory Council for the
College, is on the Iowa State Alumni Association's board of
directors, and is a member of the ISU Foundation Order of
the Knoll. Ned lives in Johnston, Iowa with his wife Paula.

Iowa before attending Iowa State and moving on to a highly
successful career with Proctor and Gamble, rising through
the ranks to manage its non-food accounts for their paper
division in the United States. He eventually left to become
national sales manager for VO5 shampoo, then director of
business planning for Helene Curtis before moving into
private consulting. His wife Becky, a graduate of Oklahoma
State University, enjoyed a great career of her own, running
IBMs marketing operations before moving on to Hitachi.

are longtime supporters of Iowa State University. Steve is
a 1979 graduate of ISU with a degree in Industrial

is active in many charity groups such as Mothers against
Cancer and the March of Dimes to name a few. Steve serves

Urbandale, Iowa. Rose Ann is an audiometrist with Heartland
Area Education Association with responsibilities for several
elementary schools in the Des Moines area. Steve is

Hira Graduate Student Lounge - Tahira and Labh Hira
are strong supporters of Iowa State. Tahira is Assistant
to the President for External Relations and Executive
Administration, and Professor of Personal Finance and
Consumer Economics and Labh is Dean of the College of
Business and Professor of Accounting at Iowa State. Tahira
is well known for developing the financial counseling
curriculum and creating ISU's Financial Counseling Clinic. She is internationally known for her research in consumer
bankruptcy, gambling, social and psychological aspects of
borrowing, and borrowing behavior of college students. Labh
specializes in the taxation of retirement and insurance
products with financial accounting being his teaching
focus. Labh was instrumental in implementing the Des Moines
MBA program and leading the $25 million Gerdin Business
Building project. Labh is an ISU Foundation Board of
Director. Labh and Tahira are ISU Foundation Governors and
members of the ISU Foundation Order of the Knoll. The
couple lives in Ames, Iowa.
