Assessment Committee Structure
Membership of the College’s outcomes assessment committee
includes a faculty representative from each of the College’s majors, and the
associate dean for undergraduate programs serves as an ex-officio member. The
2005-2006 College of Business Assessment Committee members are:
James Werbel, Management, Chair
Jan Duffy, Accounting
Jann Howell, Finance
Robert Ruben, LSCM
Amrit Tiwana, MIS
John Wong, Marketing
Clyde Walter, OSCM
Kay Palan, Associate Dean (non-voting)
The charge of this committee is to:
-
oversee college and
departmental assessment processes
-
aid in the on-going
development of direct outcomes assessment measures
-
consolidate, evaluate, and
monitor all assessment data within the College
-
conduct assessment of
college-wide outcomes
-
communicate assessment
information with curriculum committee, faculty, and administration
-
log/monitor actions taken
by faculty in response to outcomes assessment
One
of the critical issues the assessment committee will be addressing in
2005-2006 is the implementation of direct measures of outcomes throughout
the academic departments. The college is committed to the process and will
gradually be replacing indirect measures with direct measures.
