Fifth Annual Contemporary Issues in Accounting Conference Monday, December 17, 2007 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Gerdin Business Building Iowa State University Campus

The faculty of the Accounting Department will be hosting the fifth annual Contemporary Issues in Accounting Conference on Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Gerdin Business Building. Eight credits of continuing professional education on a variety of topics will be included, featuring a plenary session on ethics.  We ask that you pre-register for your desired sessions so that we can be certain to have space available. Several of this year’s sessions will be held in the state of the art computer labs to allow participants to have hands-on experience with new technologies.

Who Should Attend:
Under the new Iowa requirements, all active certified public accountant (CPA) certificate holders in Iowa must now meet continuing professional education (CPE) requirements. The conference will provide attendees with eight CPE credits. There will be something for everyone from business communications to what to do when you encounter fraud.

Registration:
$175 if registered on or before Friday, December 7, 2007. Beginning December 8, the fee is $195. The registration fee includes the full day of sessions, a soup lunch, plus easily accessible free parking.
