Marketing decisions are made in every area of a company and can include such issues as product design, pricing, promotion, personal selling, and facilities location.  A Marketing degree will prepare you for careers in product management, public relations, advertising & sales promotion, marketing research, sales, sales management

You'll put theory into practice via case studies, computer simulations, and field work with real companies, owners, and managers.  Working with your team, you'll resolve challenges and seize opportunities.  You'll compete!  You'll develop - and stretch - your marketing skills.  And learn how to manage the entire marketing process - from research and market segmentation to product design, pricing, promotion, personal selling,
and distribution.

Currently, our marketing faculty are involved in a broad range of research:

  International marketing
  Consumer psychology & behavior
  Product pricing
  Word-of-mouth product information

Did You Know?  The marketing department is ranked 2nd for non-Ph.D. institutions in research impact and productivity and 33 when compared to all colleges and universities.  This 2003 study was conducted by Helm, Hunt, and Houston with the University of Missouri, Columbia.
