Summer MBA Program in Italy

Spend your summer studying in Italy!  The Consortium Institute of Management and Business Analysis (CIMBA) summer study abroad program has two, stand-alone sessions, and students may choose to enroll in either session or attend both for a more in-depth experience.  Students select from a variety of course topics and earn a total of 6 credit hours per session.  Classes are taught in English by U.S. professors from Consortium schools and are designed to satisfy elective requirements.  The University of Kansas administers and grants credit for this program.

Course schedules encourage students to travel in order to expand their cultural experience and maximize opportunities for personal growth. There are three long weekends in each session for travel.  Convenient rail connections allow visits within Italy and to France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and many European countries.

The campus in Asolo, Italy is located in the foothills of the Dolomite Mountains, just 45 miles north of Venice.  Characterized by winding, cobblestone streets, lush gardens, rolling hills, and expansive villas, Asolo was once the summer location of choice for Venetian nobility.  The facility – a newly renovated structure dating to the 14th century –provides well-equipped classrooms, a computer lab, bedrooms with private baths and numerous amenities.

Session dates are 5/18/08-6/13/08 and 6/22/08-7/18/08.  For information about cost, course offerings, and to apply online, please visit CIMBA’s website at www.cimbaitaly.com.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early to secure a spot.
