Curriculum Development

Led the development
and implementation of the undergraduate
MIS major at Iowa State. Designed and
taught new courses, planned and built
dedicated computer labs, secured
instructional grants from Oracle,
Microsoft, Sterling Software, and Platinum
Technologies, and recruited several core
faculty for the major. |

Developed and
offered the first distance education
course in graduate MIS. Developed and
taught the MBA core modules in MIS for
full time and Saturday MBA programs.
Developed and taught new graduate elective
courses. |

Currently
participating in a University-wide effort
at offering an interdisciplinary major in
Information Assurance. Also involved with
the creation of the Center of Information
Assurance, only one of six in the nation
approved by the National Security Agency. |

Contracted by John
Wiley and Sons to develop an On Line and
printed Oracle Designer manual/text to
supplement MIS texts in Systems analysis
and design, and database management.
