Consulting and Outreach

Participated and presented a workshop at the first InfoIowa conference in Des Moines on knowledge management in the emergent Internet world. InfoIowa conference is annual conference organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Development Center to bring emerging IT to businesses in Iowa.

Developed and taught Visual Basic at Deere & Co. as part of the IS Certification program. The course initiated the certificate program, which received attention from the University President and Chamber of Commerce.

Developed outreach programs for the college of business on Information Technology, funded $8,250, collaborate with Computer Science faculty. The program focused on data warehousing and knowledge management, two emerging areas.

Worked with AmerUs a banking and financial institution to develop a custom training program in emerging IT areas. Led a project to work with SauerSundstrand Manufacturing to foster IT cooperation.

Served as principal consultant on the MIS project for the Government of India Rail India Technical and Engineering Services.

Served as consultant on Business Process Reengineering for a Fortune 1000 firm in the manufacturing sector.

Information Technology consultant for Lindberg School District, St. Louis

Principal researcher and advisor/consultant to The Paper Corporation. Instrumental in developing new business/IT strategies and coordinating the research into emerging technologies for business.

Involved in developing on-going relationship (research, curricular, and consultant) with MicroStrategy, Hewitt & Associates, General Mills, Cerner, Eli Lilly & Co, and Micron Technologies.

Advisor to Iowa Small Business Development Center

Other Services

Visiting faculty and volunteer expert for Win Rock International. Visited and advised College of AgriBusiness Management at the G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India. Win Rock International, on behalf of USAID, sponsored the visit (Jan. 2000).

Exchange faculty in the College of Business and Economics at Kingston University, Kingston, England (Nov. 1995).
