| Thomas Chacko | |||
Thomas Chacko is a professor of management in the College of Business at Iowa State University. His primary teaching interests are general management and human resource management. His current research interests focus on human resource practices and their impact on firm performance and in particular, on practices that create the high performance organization. He has published in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Decision Sciences, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Labor Research, and Organizational Behavior and Human Performance, among others. In the past, he has served on the editorial review board of the Journal of Managerial Issues and was the associate editor for the International Journal of Management. Professor Chacko has served in other administrative positions during his tenure at ISU. He was chair of the department of Management from 1984 to 1988, interim associate dean for graduate studies from 1989 to 1990, and associate dean from 1990 to 1993. He has also served on the Iowa State University Faculty Senate for two three-year terms and on several of its committees and councils. His Bachelors degree is in Chemistry, Masters degree in Industrial Relations and PhD in Management.
